CHINESE NEW YEAR IN LIVERPOOL

14th March 2018 - The latest - Comments -

Chinese New Year is celebrated in countries around the world, and Liverpool is home to Europe's largest Chinese population. We saw projections, music and lighting telling the story of the city’s incredible Chinese cultural heritage.

This year is the year of the Dog those born in this year are said to be honest, friendly, faithful, loyal, smart and with a strong sense of responsibility.

Throughout the Chinese New Year celebrations the colour red, a symbol of good luck and prosperity, plays an important part. Red decorations and lanterns are prominent in the streets, homes and offices throughout the celebrations.

中國農曆新年快樂
